HPCC Full Day Kindergarten (FDK) Before- and After-School Care Program Information
All Toronto District School Board (TDSB) kindergarten programs will be offered on a full day
basis (9:00-3:30) in September 2014. Howard Park Children’s Centre plans to offer a before and after school program (7:30-9:00 & 3:30-6:00 plus a hot lunch) for Junior and Senior
Kindergarten children. We are in final discussions with Howard Public School and the TDSB to
confirm details of this program. The exact fee for the program will be finalized by the beginning of May but we expect it to be in the range of $640-$795 per month, payable in advance.

Application Policies
Applications must be submitted in person to the Day Care Supervisor and include a nonrefundable $325.00 deposit.
- Deposits will be applied against the first month’s fee.
- Deposits for children who are not accepted will be refunded.
Enrollment is limited due to space constraints. Submitting an application does not guarantee a
space in the program. If the number of applications exceeds spaces available we will attempt to
secure more space and establish a wait list. Wait list enrollment preference will be given to:
1. Children currently enrolled in the Centre
2. Siblings of children currently enrolled in the Centre
3. Children wishing to enroll in the FDK full-year option (7 weeks of summer day camp)
Note: Acceptance in HPCC’s Kindergarten Before and After school program does not
guarantee a spot in the School Age Before and After School program. This will depend on
numbers and we cannot predict the outcomes, however all efforts will be made to accommodate children as they enter grade 1.
Subsidies
The City of Toronto offers fee subsidies to families that qualify to their criteria. For information
